The Society is a room. Sometimes a dinner table. Sometimes a page. Sometimes a rooftop filled with strangers who feel like déjà vu. It’s where ideas sit beside rituals, where brands become stories, and artists speak without a mic. We don’t sell services. We build perspectives. Through space, sound, scent, silence. Whether you're a bride, a brand, or a boy with a poem. Society holds space for you. We curate experiences that start with feeling and end in form. This is storytelling for all, lived, shared, and shaped in real time. This is The Society.

about the author
Simran lath
Simran Lath

Simran Lath is a writer and cultural storyteller who thrives on observing the world in all its contradictions. Her work sits at the intersection of mood, memory, and society—whether that’s through curating intimate sit-downs with strangers, documenting the silent revolutions in everyday life, or writing books that prod at our collective blind spots.

Her debut poetry book, Feminism Femenism, examined womanhood through sharp, unflinching lenses with an unconventional take on the men’s perspective. Her upcoming book, Eavesdropping, listens in on the unspoken—how trauma, especially in women, often shapes into illness, and how healing might begin by turning to what is natural, intuitive, and human.

Not just another book on feminism.

Really liked this book. When I read the word feminism anywhere, I usually try to overlook/ignore it. But this one seemed a bit different. Hook about it is that it considers not just women asking to be treated equally, which most of us think is what feminism is all about, but also includes men's perspective/side in it.
That's my favourite line from the book, the one shown in the photo.
It's a good light but kinda emotional read. I'm sure everyone will relate to it, it's quite relatable, in all the little things happening around us.
Looking forward to more.

Not Just a book on feminism

This book doesn’t scream about women’s right but aspires you to understand different perspectives of both the genders. It doesn’t just promote women and their rights but gives each gender a point of view of the other. Its a short and must read for everyone.

An important book to see a bigger picture

A man suffer as much as a woman does. Both suffer at the hands of patriarchy. Their trials & tribulations vary but pain remains. This intense work of art by Simran Lath is a collection of quotes & poetries that I recently read. This book speaks of two perspectives - a woman's & a man's. This well balanced narrative that reaches the readers is sure an eye-opener. In my view, it is an important book to see a bigger picture. Men & women both are dependent on each other and hence must empathize with one another. It's crucial. Alongside this book also speaks of inclusivity and that's a pertinent aspect to consider as well. I zapped through this book but the verses sunk deeper in me. Reviving a perspective much needed. So for someone like me, who reads over 150 books every year, this book stays fresh in my mind because of how relevant & topical the subject is. One side of the book irks you and the other gives you a sage understanding of the opposite gender. Give it a read!

A Short Poetry Book - Must Have

The book "FeMENism" by Simran Lath is a short poetry book that smartly addresses the concept of gender equality, as stated on the cover. It's divided into two sections, highlighting perspectives from both men and women.

Through concise lines, it shares various experiences related to equality, offering insights into both men's and women's situations. Unlike many feminist works that focus solely on women's issues, this book provides a balanced view, making it a compelling read for anyone who has encountered equality issues. The strong one-liners are particularly thought-provoking and stimulate the mind.

It's a must-read for individuals, regardless of gender, who are interested in exploring different perspectives on equality. Those who enjoy collecting small poetry books will appreciate immersing themselves in the author's words and insights.

Must read!

This was a fabulous read and hard to put down.
Some of these lines hit so hard it takes a while to reel back and shake off... it shows this was written, amended and given life to over years and years. It provokes thoughts that will linger long after I've closed the book - something I absolutely love about any piece and is not so easy to come by.

This book is thought provoking, not just in a lesson type of a way but it picks on everyday thoughts and actions and if it makes each gender think and rethink anything they've said or done it's done it's job. It has for me.

Will definitely keep this on my shelf for a re-read every now and then because I'm sure some perspective or meaning is yet to dawn on me with every read.

Compelling and thought provoking till the last page !!

This book is nothing short of an eye opener- not only for men but women also. We are so absorbed to put our point across that we forget to even take consideration that the opposite gender might have a totally different perspective of the situation. This book made me feel seen and heard but at the same time enlightened me in regards to how we (“females”) in our battle to make a space in the world forgot that the true meaning of feminism is equality not superiority.

This is a book you can come back to again and again - a beautiful and tugging read.
The author has outdone herself in terms of balancing sarcasm, wit and humour with trauma , emotional scars and lessons.

Definitely a must have in your collection of conversation stater books.
